Accreditation Complaints

In the event that an individual believes that an unresolved issue exists with regard to Belmont Abbey College’s accreditation compliance, that individual may submit a formal written complaint to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Procedures for doing so may be found at http://www.sacscoc.org/pdf/081705/complaintpolicy.pdf

In accordance with the policies of the Commission, contact should only be initiated for the following reasons:

  1. To learn more about the accreditation status of the university.
  2. To file a third-party comment at the time of the institution’s decennial review.
  3. To file a complaint against the institution for alleged non-compliance with a standard or requirement.
