Position Summary

The Director of Admissions oversees recruiting efforts of prospective students and assists to increase enrollment by coordinating day-to-day processes and activities in the Admissions Department within the Student Success Hub. Performs tasks assigned by the Dean of Admissions while serving in a leadership role to the Admissions Team.  The incumbent will serve as an internal Admissions expert, and TargetX Salesforce key user and PowerCampus user.  This position also represents the Belmont Abbey College community to provide an undergraduate student body for the college based on national enrollment management and college policies.   The Director of Admissions directs day-to-day operations within the department including application review, campus events and individual visits, data integration projects, and overall departmental management of workflow.

Qualifications

The incumbent must demonstrate a positive attitude and positive action through a display of courtesy, congeniality, cooperation, sensitivity, and professionalism.  The incumbent must possess strong oral and written communication skills while exhibiting good spelling, punctuation, and grammar.  The incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different personalities on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in higher education enrollment management.  Experience using admissions database and software packages is required, Salesforce and PowerCampus preferred.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.  A Masters’ Degree and admissions experience in a small private college setting is preferred.  The work environment is an office setting which requires the ability to travel up to 35% of the time and to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
