“Travelling to the United States for the first time from a tourist destination island in the Caribbean only 18 miles long and 11 miles wide was the biggest change I ever made in my life. Here at the Abbey I went from knowing no one to now feeling loved and cherished by many here at the Abbey. Belmont Abbey allowed me to grow and mature mentally and spiritually in a way that I would have never imagined. I am blessed with my Abbey family and I can truly say that Belmont Abbey College is my home away from home.”

Dr. Elliot Award

Congratulations to our very own professor of psychology, Dr. Elliott, on receiving the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award at the NITOP held in January. The award was given for the best empirical presentation of psychological research, which in her case was research on “the impact of student computers in the classroom on learning outcomes.”
