The Belmont Abbey Department of Athletics is happy to participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of impact that will be held on November 27.
Created in 2012, #GivingTuesday is a day of giving, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely-recognized Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, which includes holiday and end-of-year giving.
Belmont Abbey student-athletes will spend part of #GivingTuesday giving back in the community. Led by the Men and Women’s Lacrosse teams, the Crusaders will participate in #hashtaglunchbag, a project that provides food to local homeless shelters and other community areas of need.
Calling all Alumni, Families and Fans
#GivingTuesday will allow alumni, families and fans a chance to directly influence the Crusaders’ 39 intercollegiate athletics teams and raise funds for their specific program needs. Those who contribute on November 27 will receive Belmont Abbey Giving Society benefits based on donation level. Visit http://www.abbeyathletics.com/fanzone/GivingTuesday to participate.
Giving Tuesday Challenge Goals
On #GivingTuesday, Belmont Abbey Athletics is seeking to reach different monetary goals per program for wishlist items that will enhance the formation and development of Belmont Abbey’s student-athletes.
Fans can get updates on BAC Athletics’ #GivingTuesday efforts on Nov. 27 via social media. Crusaders who donate their time or resources that day are encouraged to use #AbbeyAllin on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
