Beautiful Belmont just got even more attractive.

On Saturday, January 28,  a group from Belmont Abbey College cleaned up unused areas of Belmont near the college campus. The wrestling team worked with the Belmont Police Department, Belmont Abbey College Campus Police Department and City of Belmont Street Department to beautify the area. The team picked up trash and posted “No Trespassing” signs to discourage feature litterbugs. In one day, they collected 150-200 bags full of trash.

Police Chief Andy Leonard says that the project was so important because the areas are “the front door to the college and to the City of Belmont, which is why it is so critical that we welcome all visitors with clean and beautiful spaces.”
