Position Summary
Belmont Abbey College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach Accounting courses during the fall and spring semesters beginning in August 2021.
Job Responsibilities
This is a part-time undergraduate teaching position that may include courses in a seated, hybrid or online modality that are offered during the day and/or evening. Course assignments may include: Principles, Intermediate, and Advanced Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Managerial Accounting, Auditing and Tax.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate would want to contribute to an academic community with a robust Catholic and Benedictine vision of education.
- CPA with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public accounting OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours of accounting and significant industry experience in accounting with related professional certification (CIA, CISA, CFE, CMA); special consideration given to applicants with industry or teaching experience in Tax and/or Accounting Information Systems.
- Commitment to student-centered instruction incorporating high-impact practices; special consideration given to candidates with online teaching experience utilizing Quality Matters standards.
