Belmont Abbey College seeks a Director of Development Services for College Relations.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development, the Director of Development Services will be responsible for performing prospect research, gift processing, and data management functions for the College Relations Department. The director will liaise with the Business Office for accurate gift reporting and reconciliation. The director performs the prospect management/research function, including prospect identification/research and qualification, developing new communication methods, and involving our alumni and other supporters to increase interest, support, and affinity for Belmont Abbey College. The director will also assist with other alumni, fundraising, and event initiatives within the department.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably with two or more years of experience in development-related technology and development support services, in-depth knowledge of gift processing, and proficiency in database software and related components. Accounting experience is desirable. Also, experience with data research, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required for working with and managing a database. In addition, a background in non-profit/educational sectors and fundraising would be desirable.
