When you visit Belmont Abbey College, take some time to explore the surrounding areas of Belmont and Charlotte, NC! We like to say that we have the ‘Best of All Worlds’ – city life, and small town atmosphere in close proximity to the mountains and the beach.

City of Belmont

Our students enjoy the charm of the local shops on Main Street including Tastebuds Popcorn Shop with over 150 flavors of popcorn, Hip Chicks boutique, and many antique and consignment shops.  As a bedroom community of Charlotte, many restaurants have sprouted to call Downtown Belmont their home.  To name a few but not all – Johnny B’s Pizza, The String Bean offers organic and locally grown goods, Glenway Pub is a traditional American Fare restaurant, Oldstone Steakhouse is known for their great steaks and al fresca dining on Main Street.

If you have an extended stay with us, please take some time to visit the Daniel P. Stowe Botanical Gardens.  It is a beautiful retreat in our small town of Belmont.  For more information about seasonal exhibits and events, please click here http://www.dsbg.org/
