History Adjunct

Position Summary

Belmont Abbey College invites applications for adjuncts to teach History courses in our Traditional day time program, particularly the two semester Western Civilization sequence.

Job Responsibilities

This is a part-time position for teaching courses in the two-semester Western Civilization sequence. Faculty teaching in this sequence employ a standard textbook and a common departmental assessment of student learning. 

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Master’s degree in History, Ph.D. preferred. Field specialization is open. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have prior college teaching experience. Ideal candidates will understand and embrace the responsibility of supporting the college’s Catholic identity and value participation in an academic community dedicated to a robust Catholic and Benedictine educational vision.
