Meet Dr. Danielle Beliveau-Derion

OF NOTE:
I have been working in education for over 20 years and have taught first grade through 8th grade as an elementary teacher, exceptional student education teacher, interventionist, and literacy coach. In addition, I have taught in higher education for many years and was recently a Director of Literacy for the Florida Department of Education.

KNOWN FOR:
I am known for advocating for high-quality literacy instruction to ensure all students can reach their full potential. I am passionate about creating equitable learning opportunities and have worked extensively to implement programs and strategies that support diverse learners. Whether through organizing professional development for teachers or collaborating on literacy initiatives, I strive to empower students with the skills they need to succeed
academically and in life.

WHEN NOT IN THE CLASSROOM, CAN BE FOUND:
When I’m not in the classroom, you can often find me outside kayaking, paddleboarding, or hiking. I also love to travel and explore new places. I am always up for a new adventure!
