Dr. George F. Horner, III contributed $324,337.10 to new science labs in the William Gaston Science Building.
Dr. and Mrs. Peter H. Wittenberg contributed $654,784.80 to the Wittenberg Microbiology Lab.
CaroMont Health GMH Foundation contributed $159,321 to the Belmont Abbey College Nursing Programs.
Dr. and Mrs. Peter H. Wittenberg contributed $520,403.42 to the Wittenberg Microbiology Lab.
Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation contributed $110,000 to the Whitehead Funded Scholarship.
Ernest Dwight donated $250,000 as an unrestricted gift toward the initiatives of the Made True campaign.
Belmont Abbey College received an endowment of $9,000,000 from the state of North Carolina for the Performing Arts Center.
Maximo Alvarez donated $1,700,000 for the Belmont House in Washington DC.
The Abbey extends its goal to $150 Million by our 150th anniversary in 2026.

See the excerpt below or click here to watch the entire video. ‘We’re here to stay’: N.C. college raising funds to build new monastery CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina college has been raising funds to enrich the campuses higher education experience. A new campaign goal will help leaders eventually build a new monastery to further support its Benedictine monks community. In February, Belmont Abbey College announced it reached the $100 million Made True capital campaign goal, two years ahead of the college’s original timeline. According to a press release, the campaign focuses on strengthening the college’s offerings, which includes academic enhancements, growth of the college’s endowment to reduce student’s reliance on federal aid and programs geared to help students graduate debt-free. Belmont Abbey says the success of the capital campaign resulted in the college increasing its goal to $150 million. The additional $50 million raised will establish endowed chairs, scholarships for the Honors College and a build a new home for the monastic community. The current monastery is on campus. It’s home to the monks, men with educational backgrounds that are embracing the Benedictine vows of stability and fidelity to the monastic way of life and obedience. The monks, often seen on campus, are helping to enrich the student experience, supporting them throughout their educational and spiritual journey. To mark the Belmont Abbey College’s 150 year anniversary, Andrew oversees the capital campaign strategy. In working with departments across campus, Andrew identifies the needs of the college and works with outside partners to craft communications of these needs to the broader community.
Andrew also oversees prospect research, the strategy for parent relations, and numerous volunteer boards that are created for specific departments.
