Belmont Abbey College Expands MBA Program with New Concentrations

Belmont Abbey College Expands MBA Program with New Concentrations

Belmont, N.C. (June 30, 2025) – Belmont Abbey College is pleased to announce the expansion of its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with the addition of five new concentrations, which include Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Finance, and Healthcare Administration.

Belmont Abbey College’s MBA program delivers a comprehensive, ethics-rooted business education that prepares students to succeed in today’s competitive job market. With the addition of these new concentrations, students can develop expertise in high-demand fields within the evolving digital landscape, further enhancing their career prospects.

“Expanding our curriculum to include these cutting-edge areas of study is critical and we are excited to offer these new concentrations as part of our MBA program,” said Dr. Brad Frazier, Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies at Belmont Abbey College. “These additions will not only enhance our curriculum but also provide our students with the opportunity to specialize in areas that are critical to today’s business landscape.”

Students who choose the Artificial Intelligence (AI) concentration will gain a deep understanding of AI principles and applications. Through hands-on learning, they’ll explore how to harness AI to drive innovation and enhance business operations across sectors like technology, healthcare, and finance.

With the Business Analytics track, students develop the expertise to analyze large and complex data sets, uncover insights, and make data-driven decisions. This skillset is invaluable to organizations seeking to solve strategic challenges and improve performance.

Pursuing the Cybersecurity concentration will allow students to gain the tools to defend organizations against cyber threats and implement risk-mitigation strategies. As cyberattacks become more frequent and sophisticated, the demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals continues to rise.

The Finance concentration builds a solid foundation in areas such as financial management, investment analysis, and risk evaluation. This prepares graduates for impactful roles in corporate finance, investment banking, and consulting.

Finally, the Healthcare Administration concentration helps students examine the complexities of healthcare systems, policies, and management. This program prepares them to lead and innovate in healthcare organizations facing evolving challenges and opportunities.

In partnership with Rize Education, Belmont Abbey College will provide these expanded MBA concentrations, made possible through Rize’s support in staffing professors for courses not currently offered at the College. This collaboration underscores the College’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and relevant coursework that aligns with industry trends.

For more information about the expanded MBA program and the new specializations, visit Belmont Abbey College online.

Being Broke Is No Joke… How To Become Financially Literate in College.

Author: The Crusader Staff Writer, Regina Vegihe

“Money the Abbey Way” (MTAW) is Belmont Abbey College’s program to improve students’ financial literacy. This program has the following mission statement: “Your beliefs about money, and the decisions you make about money, are intimately related to what it means to live a good life and to lead a life of integrity, to succeed professionally, to become a responsible citizen, and to be a blessing to yourself and others.”

In other words, MTAW teaches students how to wisely save, earn, spend, borrow, and tithe money. Dr. Cote, the advisor of MTAW, recommends that students start saving now as she says, “Putting money aside daily instead of buying coffee will pay off for the long term.” Furthermore, “It is about thinking long term, not just short term.”

MTAW hosts many events for Financial Literacy as well. In September, MTAW hosted its first Financial Literacy event of the year. Soon, an email will be sent out with details about a speaker presenting on investment risks. In the spring, a speaker will be presenting on employee benefits. Dates of these events will be coming soon.

There are five tips that MTAW strives to teach Belmont Abbey Students. These include…

  • Knowing Personal Finance to make an informed financial decision
  • Apply Finance principles to a situation and choose the best financial outcome for them
  • Understand Church Teachings about money and apply them to their life.
  • Think about beliefs and values to use money wisely for themself, their family, and their community.
  • Confidence in making a financial decision. To learn more about MTAW, go to the Online Student Success Hub on

canvas and look under modules for “Financial Literacy: Money the Abbey Way” Many resources, such as bac.igrad.com, will help students understand personal finance.

Being broke is no joke, so start learning about personal finance now. You will thank yourself later!
