Abbey Student Receives the Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group Scholarship

June 20, 2023

Tiffany GoberTiffany Gober has recently been named the recipient of the Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group (GCHEG) scholarship! This remarkable achievement makes Tiffany the first MHA student from the Abbey to receive this honor.

Being a mother of four amazing children, Tiffany has devoted nearly two decades to the field of public health with a strong desire to help people. She has worked with the Georgia Department of Public Health, the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services, the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities, and has even had the opportunity to work with a Federally Qualified Health Center, all of which allowed her to engage in her passion for patient care.

Recently, she has considered moving from providing direct patient care to a leadership role in public health. Obtaining her Master’s in Health Administration will enable her to learn the needed skills to one day be an administrator at a community health center. She’s always had a passion for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH) and is excited to continue that journey, with Belmont Abbey College giving her the opportunity to move toward that goal.

The Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group (GCHEG), the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), is a premier healthcare society dedicated to improving healthcare delivery by cultivating exceptional leaders and promoting the mission of ACHE. This scholarship is intended to support this mission.

Congratulations, Tiffany! Your outstanding efforts have already had a huge impact on those around you, and we can’t wait to see the amazing impact you’ll have on others in the future!
