Belmont Abbey College invites applications for the position of Online Admissions Counselor.
Job Responsibilities
The College seeks an energetic candidate, who is self-motivated and who is passionate about connecting adult learners with a transformative education. This is a full-time, twelve-month (remote or in-person) position that will engage prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment in their first classes. This role is ideal for a person who is humble, driven, and wants to transform lives through timely education.
The Online Admissions Counselor’s (OAC) recruitment efforts focus on outbound calls, sending texts, and emailing prospective students. The OAC will conduct initial calls with prospective students, assist them through the enrollment process, and ensure a smooth path to starting classes. During that process the OAC will document all activities through our CRM Salesforce. The OAC will conduct calls for both initial contact as well as to follow-up on subsequent steps and class readiness. The OAC must exemplify our core value of Hospitality, which is personified by having a real heart for the prospective student and being a source of encouragement to them throughout the process.
The OAC assists the Director of Graduate and Online Admissions in the day-to-day responsibilities of online enrollment operations, recruitment, and strategy. The OAC will reach out to prospective online students predominantly through a phone campaign strategy that includes over 100 dials and over 3 hours of talk time per day. As a member of our goal-oriented team, the OAC will collaborate with enrollment colleagues for continuous improvement opportunities and strategies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree with a preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, online recruitment, or a call center. Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to learn and utilize our CRM: TargetX SalesForce is required. This position can be in person or may be fully remote. If fully remote, travel to Belmont Abbey College may be needed periodically (1-2 times per month) thus, being located in North Carolina or surrounding states may be desirable.
