Belmont Abbey College invites applications for the position of Graduate Admissions Counselor.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate for this full-time, twelve-month position manages, plans, coordinates, and participates in all recruitment programs and related activities for the purpose of providing the College with a representative applicant pool in order to achieve enrollment objectives. The Graduate Admissions Recruiter assists the Director of Graduate Admissions in the day-to-day responsibilities of graduate enrollment operations and recruitment, contributes to the vision and outreach strategies of the office in conjunction with the College’s vision and strategic plan and assists in the hiring, training, and daily work of the Admissions staff in all areas of their responsibilities. The Graduate Admissions Recruiter assists with the management of the development of the recruitment schedule, which will include primarily local travel, travel budgets, and travel arrangements. The Graduate Admissions Recruiter manages communication with prospective graduate students on a consistent basis and throughout the enrollment cycle. The Graduate Admission Recruiter will assist with the coordination of and attend all graduate recruiting events.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Psychology, Communications, or a related field with a preferred minimum of 1 year of experience working in an admissions office or at a college campus. Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office suite. Desire to learn TargetX SalesForce and PowerCampus are required. A comfort level with public speaking and supervising others is required. The work environment is an office setting that requires the ability to work odd shifts, travel up to 30% of the time by air or car, sit continuously at a computer, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position will primarily be remote; however, an in-office presence may be needed periodically thus, being local to the Charlotte Metro area is desirable.
