Position Summary
Belmont Abbey College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach a day time, in person course in Analytical Chemistry in the spring of 2027.
Job Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will include preparation, teaching, and assessment of students in an upper-level Analytical Chemistry lecture that meets 3 hours a week and a 3-hour lab that meets once a week.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s degree in Chemistry or ABD, PhD preferred. Prior experience in college teaching is preferred.
The ideal candidate must understand and embrace the responsibility of supporting the college’s Catholic identity and value participation in an academic community dedicated to a robust Catholic and Benedictine educational vision.
Preference will be given to those candidates who can demonstrate a philosophy of teaching and research that fits well with the institution’s emphasis on the education of the whole person, and with the approach to education expressed in St. John Paul II’s Ex corde Ecclesiae.
