OF NOTE:
Has taught at Belmont Abbey College since 1978 and currently serves as the Director of Environmental Science Program. Has held several other key leadership positions during his tenure, including: Chair of the Department of Biology, Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Director of the Adult Degree Program, Director of the Weekend College and Chair of the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

His extensive research and publications, primarily on population genetics and evolution.
WHEN NOT IN THE CLASSROOM, CAN OFTEN BE FOUND:
Serving the community as a member of the Gaston County Environmental Review Board and the Quality of Natural Resources Commission of Gaston County. Also has been involved with the Abbey Players/Belmont Community Theater and Ceol na Gael Irish Pipe Band.
