CaroMont Regional Medical Center’s construction is slated to begin this summer. This medical center will work in conjunction with Belmont Abbey College and our healthcare programs, giving students an excellent opportunity to work hands-on while pursuing their degree.

On March 20th, the Diocese of Charlotte held their 11th annual Catholic Men’s Conference. It was held both in person at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Charlotte and virtually. President of Belmont Abbey College, Dr. Bill Thierfelder, was a keynote speaker at this event.

Belmont Abbey College graduate, Dr. Dana Ayers, was recently named the Jackson County Schools Superintendent. Dana studied Elementary Education during her time at the Abbey and eventually went on to pursue a Masters in School Administration and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Congratulations, Dana!
Abbey Alumnas, Jennifer Joyner, recently launched Kurated Noire, an art collecting and interior design business, alongside her daughter, Kadijah, right here in Gaston County!
Jennifer studied business during her time at the Abbey and after 25 years of corporate and higher education experience, launched her business in June of 2020.
