Join us every Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm at Holy Grounds Coffee Shop on the beautiful campus of Belmont Abbey College. All ages and skill levels are welcome. The focus of this jam is building confidence while gaining familiarity with the (mostly) bluegrass repertoire. You’ll play a mixture of bluegrass and folk, with some gospel, country, and Irish. The jam also references the Queen City Bluegrass Jam songbook. Please note that while the location given is Holy Grounds Coffee Shop, and this will remain normative going forward unless otherwise noted, we will also meet in front of the adjacent Haid theater once the weather gets cooler. Contact Stephen Tomlinson with any questions at stephentomlinson@bac.edu.
Awake the Dawn is a new program on campus for students who wish to take their faith to a deeper level. It is designed for students who need more but don’t know where to find it. The group will meet and discuss current topics of the faith from contemporary theologians. The goal is to encounter what is pertinent in the world of theology and to become part of the conversation. Awake the Dawn will meet every Friday at 8 p.m. in the Mezzanine.
Join the Great Movies Club on Saturday, January 18, at 7:30PM in the Student Commons for its first movie screening of the semester! The club will be showing Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest. FREE food and drinks will be provided!
