Served as a columnist for the Charlotte Observer for 19 years while teaching high school Advanced Placement English courses. First taught at Belmont Abbey College in the 1970’s and has returned frequently in a variety of teaching roles. Holds National Board Certification in English to instruct college-aged students, and enjoys this age groups’ readiness to learn.
