Stafford Loan borrowers at Belmont Abbey College are required to complete an online Master Promissory Note and Loan Entrance Counseling.
Unsubsidized Stafford Loans are for students who do not meet the financial need criteria for a subsidized loan. With this loan, the student must pay the interest while still in school. If you can’t make the interest payments, they can be added to your principal balance. The interest rate is set each year on July 1, and is a fixed rate loan. Stafford Loan borrowers at Belmont Abbey College are required to complete an online Master Promissory Note and Loan Entrance Counseling.
FEDERAL LOAN PROGRAMS FOR PARENTS
PLUS Loans are available for every creditworthy parent who is a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, and who has completed the FAFSA. Please apply by June 1. PLUS Loan borrowers at Belmont Abbey College are also required to complete an online PLUS Application and Master Promissory Note.
Pursue as many outside scholarships as possible to make your Abbey education even more affordable.

Learn, seek, thrive
