Community Day: A Service and Learning Event sponsored by AFACE Honor Society
Join the Accounting, Finance, Analytics, Cybersecurity and Economics (AFACE) Honor Society and members of the monastic community for a special service and learning event! We will begin with a brief overview of cybersecurity, including some of the risks organizations face today and the career opportunities that spring from these risks. We will then review a case of a ransomware attack against a Benedictine Convent in Ohio and learn how Sister Mary Catherine successfully defended her covenant's network with cybersecurity training and her understanding of Catholic virtue ethics. Following the learning portion of the evening, we will turn our attention to service, sorting and preparing donations for Catherine's House. Dinner is provided. Come connect with members of the monastic community through learning, fellowship, and service!
