We welcome you to our open house. This event will give you the opportunity to tour our campus, talk with current students and faculty, learn about financial aid, meet with admissions counselors, attend an optional Mass, and visit with other prospective students. We hope to see you!
Honors Scholarship Weekend
Date: February 6-7, 2026
All students who have applied, interviewed, and been admitted to the Honors College for the Fall 2026 term are invited to join us for Honors College Weekend. Experience the Honors College first-hand by reading and discussing classic works of philosophy and literature in seminars with your future classmates. Contact your Admissions Counselor for additional information.
Hintemeyer Scholarship Weekend

All students who have applied, interviewed, and been awarded to our Felix Hintemeyer Catholic Leadership Scholarship for the Fall 2026 term are invited to join us for Hintemeyer Catholic Leadership Weekend. Experience the Hintemeyer program first-hand with your future classmates.

My name is Hannah Blaha and I am from Charlotte, North Carolina. I have five younger siblings and a dog named Moses. I graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School in 2023. I enjoy volunteering at my home parish and I care deeply about my faith. I am part of the Hintemeyer Catholic Leadership Program at Belmont Abbey. I also like to sing and I am a part of the Abbey Chorus. Finally, I intend to major in Elementary Education and minor in Theology.

I am a St. Thomas More Scholar and involved in Ultimate Frisbee Club, Men’s Group, The North Carolina Student Legislature and Young America’s Foundation. My name is Hannah Feeney. I am a junior pursuing a double major in Theology and Great Books and a minor in classical languages. I am a student in the Honors College, which was one of the main reasons I chose to come to Belmont Abbey. I am also involved in the Abbey Schola and Abbey Players. Whenever I am not drowning in homework, I love to read, run, spend time with friends, and visit the Adoration Chapel. I hope to either become a high school teacher or pursue a masters degree after I graduate.

I like reading, football, Latin, and being Catholic. I think the abbey is a super cool place to be, so I thought it would be nice to get paid to tell people about that (they don’t pay me very much but that’s ok). I really want to visit Maine but I don’t have any money so I’ll wait till after I graduate. Dr. Varacalli is one of the coolest teachers I’ve had so you should join the honors college if you’re a prospective student reading this. 🙂

Mary Amanda is a Junior in the Honors College and is double majoring in the Great Books and Latin. She enjoys the social aspect of campus life, including singing in the Abbey Schola, being a member of the Students for Life, participating in various fine arts, including dance, music, and theater performances, and being the staff editor of the Honors College newsletter, The Forum. She is looking forward to a life of learning even after school and delving into teaching or whatever other field the Lord requests of her.

I’m a sophomore here at the Abbey and I am studying theology with the plan to do a missionary year after graduation. After that I would like to teach middle school or high school theology. I am an Otegen scholar and very involved in the dance program at the Abbey. If I’m not dancing I’m usually hanging out with my friends and doing the most random things. I enjoy reading, baking, and crafting. Most of all I love Jesus and my faith.
