Belmont Abbey College seeks a Director of Field Placements for the Teacher Education Program.
Job Responsibilities
The Director of Field Placements is responsible for overseeing and managing the field placement component of the Teacher Education Program. This role involves coordinating with schools, faculty, and students to ensure successful and meaningful field experiences that align with the program’s educational objectives. The Director will play a crucial role in preparing future educators by facilitating practical, hands-on teaching experiences. This position will also teach four (4) courses per academic year.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Education or a related field, Doctorate preferred, and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in teacher education or a related field, with a focus on field placements or student teaching. Experience in program development and evaluation and the ability to build and maintain relationships with educational partners is required.
