The particulars surrounding this issue can certainly be difficult. But our Catholic faith gives us a rich, 2,000-year inheritance—Scripture and Tradition, sacramental life, scholarship, and practice—to help us reflect God’s justice and mercy. We honor that inheritance by engaging with it on issue after issue, building up the Body of Christ act by act, discussion by discussion.
