Bioethics Reading Group: “Death, Unity, and the Brain”

Join Dr. Catherine Nolan for a bioethics reading group on Friday, February 21 from 3-5pm in the Lowry Alumni House. For this inaugural meeting, we will read David Oderberg’s “Death, Unity, and the Brain” (linked below). All students and faculty are welcome!
David Oderberg is a contemporary philosopher who converted to Catholicism, and here he examines brain death and circulatory criteria for death in light of an Aristotelian understanding of the unity of the person.
