Program Details

Admission Requirements

To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Hold a current unencumbered license to practice nursing as an RN
  • Education Requirements:
    • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN) is required

Applicants must meet one of the following GPA breakdowns (based on prior education):

  • GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 credits of a completed baccalaureate program; OR
  • GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate and graduate coursework; OR
  • GPA of 2.5 in all undergraduate coursework

After admission, submission of a criminal background check, current immunizations, malpractice insurance, and drug screen is required.

  • NU 660: Theory of Nursing Practice (3)
  • NU 663: Healthcare Informatics (3)
  • NU 665: Person & Population Health (3)
  • NU 668: Clinical Dimensions of Advanced Practice (3)
  • NU 670: Scholarly Nursing Practice (3)
  • NU 680: Assessment & Evaluation in Nursing Education (3)
  • NU 681: Curriculum Development & Evaluation in Nursing Education (3)
  • NU 682: Technology: Teaching Strategies and Instructional Design
  • NU 677: Advanced Practice Leadership Concepts (6)
  • NU 678: Advanced Practice Leadership Residency (6)

500 practicum hours

Graduation Requirements

The graduation requirements for the MSN Leadership:

  • Completion of the MSN Leadership degree course requirements
  • Program GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Completion of all residency experience hours

It is the student’s responsibility to fulfill all degree requirements for graduation.

Tuition

  • $600 per credit hour (37 total credit hours)

Total Program Cost: $22,000 (includes tuition and fees)
