Beginning Wednesday, September 15, the following amendments to current policies regarding the use of facilities and attendance at events will be in effect until November 1:
- Events from external groups utilizing campus facilities (rentals) will not be allowed.
- Internal events with external participants/audiences in INDOOR facilities (theatre, athletics) will be subject to masking requirements and operate at 50% capacity.
- Internal events with external participants/audiences at OUTDOOR facilities will not be subject to masking requirements and capacity restrictions; masking and social distancing are encouraged as possible.
- This policy will extend to November 1 with an announcement date of not later than October 15 as to whether the policy will be discontinued.

In 2000, Buck joined the Charlotte – Mecklenburg Police Department and retired from CMPD in 2018. However, Buck was not done serving and he decided to continue policing, first at Queens University Police Department, and then at Belmont Abbey College Police Department.
