Minor in English
WRITE. READ. SUCCEED.
The English minor refines your reading, writing, and communication skills. You will get to know the great English texts from the classical, medieval, and modern periods up to the present day, and learn to think critically with them. Supplementing your studies with a minor in English is a good way to prepare for professional work in teaching and communications, editing and publishing, graduate programs, and a variety of other fields.
Fifteen (15) hours from 300- or 400-level English courses
NOTE: At least nine (9) credits for the minor in English must be taken at Belmont Abbey College.
Honors Institute students may have different requirements for the minor. Please contact the Department Chair for details.
*It is the student’s responsibility to verify that all degree requirements for graduation are fulfilled.
